About My Clients
I love walking with people as they move toward the freedom that comes from knowing and believing the truth. Sometimes we have a lot of “stuff” that gets in the way of that, and we need to take a closer look. All of our experiences impact us, and some of those leave deep wounds that interfere with how we view ourselves, others, and God.
My Background and Approach
I have been practicing since 2011, and my experience is both deep and broad. I have worked with adults, teenagers, and couples. I have worked with those struggling with anxiety and depression, OCD, bipolar, and severe mental illnesses like schizophrenia. I have also worked with those struggling with addictions, both substances and behavioral addictions such as pornography. Over time I have seen that a lot of symptoms and diagnoses are connected to trauma. Our traumatic experiences, big or small, impact our understanding of ourselves, others, and God. The way we feel in the world is just different. I received a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. My training integrates the research from psychology and counseling with the truth of scripture, so my methods include anything that aligns with scripture and is backed by research. I am passionate about those in counseling getting good care.
