About My Clients
You feel deflated, like life is passing you by and you don’t know how you got so far off course from living the life that you imagined. People tell you to move on, try harder or stop living in your glory days. It just isn't that simple. You DO want to stop withdrawing from your relationship(s), feel a sense of purpose and feel in love again. You just don’t know where to begin. I can help.
My Background and Approach
I help former athletes, millennials and struggling couples to reach their full potential by helping them heal their relationships with themselves and with others. I am trained both in social work and in couples and family therapy. I work with clients through attachment and systems based theories, which means that I work with your relationships and environment in mind. I support my clients with knowledge and tools from Gottman, EFT, PACT therapy to name a few. I like to give my clients evidenced-based skills that we practice in session, so they can start using them right away.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that my clients are the experts of their own lives. Your values, needs and goals drive our time together. I also believe that when working with clients it is always important to understand the impact that our society has on an individual. This often includes racism, sexism, able-ism, heteronormativity, neurotypicality and so forth. I am always working to own my privilege and grow in my understanding and advocacy of experiences that are outside of my own. I invite all of my clients to speak up if ever I misunderstand or misrepresent their experiences/identities in our time together. In session, I like to be direct and also use humor where appropriate. Outside of my sessions, I enjoy hiking, exploring Colorado, spending time with my husband, family and friends, reading traveling and trying new things.
