About My Clients
I work with clients who may be struggling with life transitions and lack of self-care. I am LGBTQ-affirming and trauma-informed. During our initial sessions, I will ask you open-ended questions about why you're seeking therapy, your personal therapy goals, and other details about you and your life. My goal is to make you feel truly seen and heard.
My Background and Approach
I have experience working with adolescents, adults, and elders. I received a Graduate Certificate in Child Welfare upon graduating with my MSW in 2022. I received licensure in 2025 and started my private practice Soul Garden Counseling in 2026. I take a warm, dynamic, empowering, and person-centered approach depending on your needs and preferences. I specialize in LGBTQ+ and Women's issues, as well as life transitions, depression, and anxiety. I primarily use cognitive and behavioral therapeutic interventions to analyze how our thoughts affect our feelings and behaviors. I also incorporate strategies derived from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Committment Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am part of the LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse community. I have experience volunteering with at-risk teen youth in school settings, in a research lab for suicide prevention, and with HIV affected individuals in the community.
