About My Clients
My top priority is to ensure that clients feel encouraged and empowered by a warm, supportive and open environment, that is free from judgement. My goal is to promote strengths and self discovery, mental and emotional growth and stability, and improvement with relationships, peers, and situations. I focus on a therapeutic alliance that is relatable and affirming to help identify real and attainable skills to use in daily life for a better overall quality of life.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology followed by a Master’s of Social Work, both from North Carolina State University. With over 10 years of experience, in therapy I rely on evidence-based practices while incorporating cognitive behavioral techniques, interpersonal and relational as well as trauma-informed approaches in hopes to engage and relate to clients’ own unique experiences and characteristics. I also promote the use of mindfulness techniques to manage anxiety. I specialize in working with symptoms of depression, anxiety, navigating major life changes/challenges, life coaching, and women’s health issues - including infertility.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Throughout my work as a therapist, I have learned that therapy can be a transformative experience. It is my goal to be your navigator in understanding the connections between thoughts, feelings and behaviors, while identifying and overcoming obstacles in the way of personal growth.
