About My Clients
I guide people navigating grief and loss (including anticipatory bereavement), as well as those with depression and anxiety. If you have a chronic illness, or provide support to a loved one with one, then I offer the supportive space you need. I also help people feeling overwhelmed and burdened by the turbulent times we're collectively experiencing, offering a sanctuary for the LGBTQIA+ and COVID-conscious community. If you need a trauma-informed space to unpack your worries, I'm here for you.
My Background and Approach
I have over a decade of clinical experience providing support to individuals and families navigating complex physical and mental health challenges. I have worked in hospice, palliative care, and other medical settings, providing therapy. I am passionate about helping people cope with difficulties in life. I provide attentive and thoughtful holistic practices, combining past-present-future work to help people process their experiences, ground in the moment, and plan for tomorrow. My clinical perspective is shaped by years of experience in grief, complex trauma, and helping navigate life changes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a progressive and justice-focused lens, one that is very informed by helping clients navigate the tricky healthcare system for nearly fifteen years. I am also a member of the LGBTQ community and support the Black Lives Matter movement. Previously, I have worked at a domestic violence shelter and a group home for homeless pregnant women (and new mothers with their infants). Colloquially, I'm a millennial that never grew out of their emo phase and would be open to including tarot and astrology in our sessions (but I won't mention it, unless you bring it up first!).
