About My Clients

Imagine feeling balanced, empowered, & good enough. Right now, you might look like you have it all together on the outside. Inside, you may feel out-of-control. Maybe you feel limited by your need to be perfect, fear that something bad will happen, your food rules, or distress when you look in the mirror.. These fears and anxieties are not permanent. I invite you to embrace your vulnerabilities & begin to create meaningful shifts in your life. You can live life believing that you’re enough!

My Background and Approach

I received my M.S. in clinical rehabilitation and mental health counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017. and have been working with people with eating disorders and body image distress since then. I particularly enjoy group therapy and have developed and run group therapy in higher levels of care (PHP and IOP) and in the outpatient level of care. I am actively working toward my Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) designation. - Licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC); #13497 - Registered yoga teacher (RYT200); #220832 - Out-of-State Registered Telehealth Provider in Florida (License #1452) - Trauma-Sensitive Yoga informed My therapeutic style is warm, gentle, humorous, engaging, and often quite direct. I value transparency and assertive communication. I practice therapy using techniques from the following evidence-based models: ACT, CBT, DBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, & Mindfulness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that you are resilient. I will strive to create a safe and supportive environment that guides you in making fulfilling life choices. I will challenge you to notice the patterns in your life that are no longer helpful; I will ask you to challenge yourself. Imagine this in your session: - You feel fully safe from judgement when you are in therapy. You share vulnerably, knowing your therapist “gets it.” - You feel heard and are validated in how you feel. When you share what you’re feeling, your therapist responds with empathy and understanding. You begin to believe that your emotions matter and are valid. - You feel empowered in your sessions. This might mean you guide topics, change topics, or provide feedback in the moment. - You feel like you can take up space in the room. You know that your voice has power and you practice asking for your needs to get met. This is how I hope you feel with your therapist.
