About My Clients
Depression is loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, and despair. It can affect a person's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, making it difficult to carry out daily activities and find enjoyment in things they once enjoyed. Some people experience physical symptoms, such as fatigue, changes in appetite, headaches and difficulty sleeping. If this sounds like you, know recovery is possible. I look forward to working with you on your recovery and renewed ability to experience joy and contentment.
My Background and Approach
I practice Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)- a short-term, goal-oriented therapy that focuses on changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It is often used to treat anxiety and depression. I also incorporate mindfulness-based therapies-these techniques help clients reduce stress, manage difficult emotions, and improve overall well-being
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I promote the well-being and dignity of every individual. I believe that every person has inherent worth and should be treated with respect and compassion. I believe in the importance of cultural competence and sensitivity, recognizing that individuals come from diverse backgrounds and have unique experiences that shape their mental health needs and treatment preferences. I strive to provide culturally responsive care that respects and addresses these differences.
