Shame, embarrassment, fear. Maybe you've felt this when you think about sex. My Background and Approach
I'm Dr. Ashley Burks, and I am an anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirmative, and sex-positive counselor. I have a passion for working with clients who have experienced trauma and shame that is holding them back by preventing them from feeling at home in their own skin, causing problems in their romantic or sexual relationships, or disrupting their professional work. My goal is to help clients reprocess and heal their trauma, so that life can feel safe and simple again, and they can live with the freedom of knowing they are no longer captive to their trauma.
