About My Clients
My clients are dealing with a variety of issues. However, one constant is they want to continue to grow and deal with the ups and downs of life in a healthier way. My ideal client is open to learning new ways to manage their emotions and deal with their physical and/or emotional pain in new ways.
My Background and Approach
I am a trauma-informed therapist and work with modalities such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR. I think there is no "one size fits all" approach when it comes to your mental health and work with you to identify what you need. In working with chronic pain and trauma, I have become a big proponent of managing your physical representations of stress with EMDR and Certified Clinical Yoga work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm passionate about supporting individuals and committed to lifelong learning. As a member of the Utah Mental Health Counselors Association and the LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapist Guild of Utah, I prioritize inclusivity and understanding. Additionally, I hold certification from DOPL to offer gender-affirming care to transgender adolescents and volunteer with a local nonprofit, aiding pets and their owners during challenging times like hospitalization or housing crises.
