About My Clients

I want to help children and adolescents feel comfortable and confident in their lives. I know how challenging it is living in the competitive Bay Area and I want to help you feel in control of your life. I have seen many children and adolescents struggling with feeling like things have to be "perfect." I am here to help you recognize your strengths and feel comfortable with the imperfections in our lives.

My Background and Approach

I work from a relational perspective. My work focuses on building up the therapeutic relationship so that you can feel comfortable in working through your worries. My work is very individualized and I will often use art and play in my sessions to be engaging as well as memorable. My goal is to help bridge the gap from what happens in the therapy office, to your everyday life. I use Evidence-Based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help with symptom reduction and use my relational perspective to help make lasting changes. One of my favorite things to focus on is Mindfulness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone is capable of living a fulfilling life. I think sometimes our natural dispositions and our environments make this challenging. I find that taking time to build a therapeutic relationship and building trust is imperative for creating lasting change. My work focuses on not only the therapeutic relationship, but with other relationships in your life. We are social creatures, and when we feel accepted unconditionally by those around us, then we can make lasting changes to help better ourselves.
