My Background and Approach
My work is influenced by and integrates somatic psychology, psychodynamic theory, parts work (IFS), mindfulness, DBT, family systems, and is trauma-informed. My style is dynamic, relational, collaborative, warm and direct. We are all unique and thus I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs. In our work together, we will strive for your improved awareness, self-compassion, and to live a more connected life. I strive to create a space that is welcoming and affirming, allowing you to connect deeper with yourself, and when the therapy match is right, healing can occur. Seeking therapy and being open to the process is a true act of bravery, one I respect deeply. We begin where you are and when you feel ready enough to reach out, I am here. I have B.S. in Psychology from TCU and a M.A. from the California Institute of Integral Studies in Somatic Psychology. I have worked in private practice and with underserved youth and families in schools and residential based settings
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe it is the world around us that has an impact on the ways we are shaped and show up in our everyday lives. I feel the body is our guide and holds great wisdom as to what we need for living and healing. I welcome diversity and I am actively engaged in practices that support my awareness related to how my power and privilege show up in world
