About My Clients

I specialize in working with individuals who experience depression, anxiety, trauma, grief work (death and dying), conflict resolution with couples, and eating disorders. I am a HAES (health at ever size) and eating disorder informed therapist. In addition, my work also extends to BIPOC communities to provide assistance around systems issues, racism, and intersectionality of identity. Being biracial allows my work to not just be rooted in theory but lived experience as well.

My Background and Approach

I am here to help you remember we are human beings, not human doings. I help my clients mindfully rewire neural pathways to bring the intricacies of the mind, body, and spirit into aligned harmony. Upon completing my graduate degree in Clinical Social Work and Trauma-Informed Care at the University of Denver, I spent several years exploring my clinical style and utilizing interventions based in social science and eastern medicine. Theories I have engage in are Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Critical Race Theory, Systems Theory, Feminist Theory, CBT, ACT, and different frameworks of spirituality. I am a HAES (health at every size and eating disorder-informed) therapist. Lastly, I am committed to frameworks of social justice and cultural competency. My practice is a space where any ethnicity, gender, class, or religion is safe to exist authentically and be met with quality care. Whether you have been on your healing journey for years or beginning, I am grateful to stand beside you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Hardships create cracks and holes that feel beyond repair, but much like the Japanese art from Kintsugi, I believe there is no such thing as being broken. With quality care and mindfulness any gaps can be filled with gold. My journey with you as your therapist is not just a job to me but a privilege to help you heal so that you can see the world through the lenses of your strengths and wisdom, not trauma and hardships. I believe in a world that is brighter not just for some but for all. My practice is a space where any ethnicity, gender, class, religion or spiritual practices are safe to exist authentically and be met with quality care. I am a bi-racial, bi-sexual, practicing clinician in Portland, Oregon. I am also a husky dog mom, an artist, a nature lover, a wife, an avid cloud watcher, and a friend. I am excited to meet you and make meaningful change, together.
