About My Clients
I work with adults and couples who feel stuck in relationship patterns, overwhelmed by life experiences, or impacted by harm and heartache. They have deep desire for change, yet are unsure how to move forward. My clients want therapy that is relational, holistic, and effective. Therapy becomes a place to slow down, tell the truth without judgement, and gently make sense of the stories shaping their lives.
My Background and Approach
My approach is grounded in narrative therapy, modern relational psychodynamic theory, and experiential work, with influences from trauma-informed care and Internal Family Systems. I am especially attentive to how early relationships, faith, and formative experiences shape the stories we live by today. I earned my graduate degree from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology, where I deepened my conviction that our stories, bodies, relationships, and spiritual lives are intricately connected. I’ve also received training in Narrative Focused Trauma Care through the Allender Center, equipping me to help clients explore how past harm has shaped the stories they carry about themselves and the world. I also bring experiential approaches to therapy, including training from Onsite Workshops in Nashville, allowing clients to engage creatively and somatically with their experiences in ways that go beyond words.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are harmed in relationship and we are healed in relationship. As much as we wish we could "pull ourselves sup by our bootstraps" and just try harder on our own, we can only do that for so long and it only gets us so far. We need a witness, someone who can hold up a mirror to us and reflect back our beauty and our brokenness without shame. Someone who can help us navigate our internal terrain. Someone who can help us tell our stories in a way that brings integration, connection, and healing.
