About My Clients
I best support clients who are ages 14 and up. I specialize in treating difficulties such as anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, and issues with self esteem and negative thinking.
My Background and Approach
I believe that you are the expert on yourself and your life, and my role is just to help guide you to be your best, most complete self. I encourage my clients to develop mindful awareness and insight into their own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. When we can utilize your strengths and your skills, in combination with identifying what the behavior or thought is that you want to change, then that is when the real healing begins. I love to tailor each therapeutic experience to fit your particular needs! The mood for each session will be warm, non-judgmental, compassionate, and I am willing to lend support in whatever way suits you. I love to set at least one goal or thing to think about at the end of each session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the most important part of therapy is that you feel comfortable, heard, understood, safe, and supported. As someone who personally struggles with anxiety and negative thinking myself, I bring real life situations and experiences to the table. I believe that pets are amazing supports and parts of our family, I think that breathing and connection to your body will honestly help get you through almost anything, and I think that connecting to nature and your environment is one of the best coping skills that exists.
