About My Clients

With my clients, I have seen that bringing mindfulness, awareness, and self-compassion along with accountability is the key in clearing out our inner blocks and bringing a new sense of health, happiness, and magic to our lives. Through our therapeutic relationship, we can develop an understanding together how to use therapy best to overcome your emotional and relationship struggles and relieve symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, and other psychological disturbances.

My Background and Approach

I am informed by the Jungian and contemporary psychodynamic traditions as well as inspired by Buddhist and other wisdom traditions that can help us think about good ways to develop mindfulness, live life with meaning, have better relationships, and work more effectively with obstacles. We can look at dreams and listen for the what may be going on behind the scenes in other ways to “make the unconscious conscious” to help you see the obstacles and way forward more clearly. I have many years experience with meditative and contemplative practices as well as engaging in my own psychoanalytic therapy, which has all been a strong foundation and support for me, in my own life and in my practice with others. With my clients, I have seen that bringing mindfulness, awareness, and self-compassion with accountability to our experience is the key in clearing out our inner blocks and bringing a new sense of health, happiness, and magic to our lives.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I strongly believe everyone has basic goodness and inherent worthiness, no matter who they are. Often, we find ourselves in difficult positions because of adaptive ways of being that we learned to survive that are no longer helping us and do not allow us to be our best selves. With therapy, I have seen that we can getting a better understanding of these negative narratives and coping strategies and their uses in our life and find more healthy ways to get our needs met, that is more aligned with our basic goodness and our true self, and can help us work with the world and others in a more compassionate and inclusive way.
