About My Clients
I work well with a variety of populations and have a passion for peri- and postnatal individuals, black women, and LGBTQIA+ individuals.
My Background and Approach
Maybe you feel stuck, with no clear goals for your future. Or maybe you don’t feel supported in your relationships. Perhaps you just want to continue to check in on yourself and maintain your mental wellness. I am here to support you in creating true and lasting change, so you can live your most authentic and empowered life. I believe that therapy should be a safe non-judgmental space where you can explore your complete self and become confident in who you are and your well-being. As your therapist, my goal is to help you maneuver those spaces that seem troublesome, unclear, and even exciting. I received my Master's in Counseling in 2013 from Alabama A&M University. My Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology came from Huntingdon College in 2011. In 2014 I became a nationally certified Rehabilitation Counselor and in 2023 I became a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. I am trained in Brainspotting as well.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I proudly identify as black and queer. I graciously lend my voice and support to the disability and other marginalized communities. I acknowledge the intersections in which my clients navigate and seek to celebrate their identities.
