My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) principles to support individuals in overcoming emotional and behavioral challenges. Using CBT, I help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and stress. For those who have experienced trauma, TF-CBT provides a structured framework to process distressing memories, develop coping skills, and rebuild a sense of safety. ACT encourages clients to embrace difficult emotions with self-compassion while committing to actions aligned with their values, fostering resilience and personal growth. With DBT-informed strategies, I help individuals strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, particularly for those struggling with intense emotions and relationship challenges.
