About My Clients
I work especially well with people who are ready to understand what keeps them stuck and to approach parts of themselves they may have avoided for a long time. I often work with trauma, couples, and the transition to parenthood. My style is collaborative and engaged: I listen closely, ask questions, offer observations, and help make sense of patterns that can be hard to see alone. I’m especially interested in helping people turn insight into movement.
My Background and Approach
I help clients understand what keeps them stuck—and find a way forward. I draw on practical tools when useful, with training in CBT, EMDR, and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. I’m especially passionate about EMDR and the possibility of helping people work through experiences that still feel emotionally stuck or unresolved. My approach is collaborative, curious, and engaged. I currently provide lower-fee therapy through Bay Area Community Counseling as a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker, under licensed supervision. Before becoming a therapist, I worked on a crisis hotline and in community mental health, experiences that taught me to stay grounded when people are bringing in things that feel intense, confusing, or hard to put into words.
