About My Clients
Are you always the one others depend on, even when you’re quietly overwhelmed? Do you find yourself pushing through stress, past pain, or difficult experiences just to keep everything together? As a trauma therapist, I understand how heavy that can feel—the exhaustion, the pressure. You don’t have to keep carrying it alone. Together, we can create a safe space to process what you’ve been through and help you begin to feel more grounded, supported, and like yourself again.
My Background and Approach
The work we do together is focused on helping you feel safe, supported, and more in control of your emotional world. As a trauma therapist, I use tools and approaches developed through experience working with individuals who have carried a lot on their own. My goal is for you to leave therapy with practical, grounding techniques you can use in daily life—tools to manage overwhelming emotions, navigate triggers, and reconnect with yourself. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, starting with what’s showing up now—whether that’s anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or patterns that feel hard to break. Together, we’ll explore how past experiences may be shaping your present while building skills to help you feel more balanced and in control. Over time, you can begin to feel lighter, more confident, and more connected to yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing is possible at any point in your life. So many of the struggles you’re facing aren’t because something is wrong with you—they’re patterns you learned along the way, often just trying to survive. As a trauma therapist, this work is personal to me. I experienced trauma as a teen, and through my own therapy and healing, I learned that it’s possible to feel more grounded, more in control, and more like yourself again. I dealt with the impacts of PTSD, low self esteem and depression and feel so much more whole. That’s the same freedom I want for you. Together, we’ll look at what’s been weighing on you and begin to shift those patterns into healthier, more supportive ways of coping. You don’t have to keep carrying everything on your own. I believe UNC is way better than Duke, but I promise I won’t hold it against you if you happen to like dark blue over Carolina blue. I pride myself on being an advocate for any one who steps into my office.
