About My Clients
It is important to me to give a safe space to young adults who identify as black/person of color, or members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I am passionate about working with individuals and couples who have challenges related to stress, depression, body image, sexuality, identity development, self-esteem, general anxiety, social anxiety, relationships, and academic concerns.
My Background and Approach
I earned my MSW from Kennesaw State University, and I am a licensed master social worker. I enjoy helping people navigate setting boundaries, life transitions and building better relationships. I believe that therapy is a joint effort between client and therapist. You are the expert on your life and your experiences, and I want to work together to help you move forward in your life. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral, Strength Based and Mindfulness techniques. I have previous experience in medical social work, case management, and college counseling. I am a certified Body Positive Facilitator, and I am working on my 200 hr Yoga Teaching certification. I am currently under supervision with Courtney Geter, LMFT, CST and Mary Ablett, LCSW
