About My Clients
Women who do it all, but also don’t want to. You are navigating parenthood or pregnancy, building a family without dysfunction, working on your relationship after bedtime, trying boundaries but still saying yes too much, remembering to shower, and of course the dreaded S word…. “Self effing care”. You feel overwhelmed and wonder if it’s this hard for everyone. You want to tap into your power and wonder who you are without your roles. You want to be "Untamed" but are not exactly sure how to!
My Background and Approach
With training in sensorimotor psychotherapy, breath work, perinatal mood disorders, somatic Internal Family Systems (IFS), Kundalini yoga, trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, and Eastern philosophies I am able to personalize the counseling experience for each client. I do not subscribe to one model or theoretical orientation for all cultural backgrounds or experiences. We all have different lived experiences and I think it’s important to adjust approaches as needed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Lack of accessibility to mental healthcare, developmental trauma, racial injustice, and lack of LGBTQA+ competency, are some of the many systems of oppression in our society. These all work to disconnect us from our bodies by causing stress, reaction, and fear. I believe we are collectively working to bring peace and oppose these systems through remembering this connection with our bodies. I strongly believe in our innate self-healing capabilities and our body's wisdom. I believe in the healing capabilities of connection, nature, and coregulation. Personally and professionally, my practice is open, accepting, constantly learning, and un-learning systems to support BIPOC, LGBTQA+, sex positivity, and gender fluidity.
