Is the idea of therapy a little scary? Right now, you might be avoiding the tough stuff, but facing your fears is worth it in the end, and you don’t have to do it alone. I believe real change comes from getting to know the real you. The real you has so many strengths, and it’s important to own them and use them to your benefit. Engage with the talk therapy process to find balance between acceptance and change.
My Background and Approach
Most of my career has been spent working with young adults who struggle with anxiety disorders. Now, I continue to work with people who struggle with theses disorders, but with a special interest in helping people who have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, and Specific Phobias. I use approaches grounded in thought analysis, mindfulness, and self-acceptance. I believe there’s a balance between acceptance and change, and it takes the right support system to find the right tools for the job! You have strengths, and I want to help you use them to create a healthy life. I want you to feel challenged, so I also implement Exposure and Ritual Prevention (ERP) therapy to people who are motivated to step outside of their comfort zone. Change is hard, but I believe you’re ready!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a counselor, I want you to feel comfortable and confident in our sessions. I value authenticity, and that’s how I plan to show up. We are two humans working together for something great. No matter what, I want you to feel like your session is pulling you towards wellness every single time. That’s my job, and that’s how I want to be present, always.
