About My Clients
You might be the one other people rely on, but underneath it can feel like you’re carrying more than anyone realizes—mentally, emotionally, or just in the day-to-day weight of things. What often shows up in the room is chronic trauma, burnout, relationship stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm—especially when life keeps moving and you’re still trying to hold everything together at the same time.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) trained in EMDR and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), with experience in domestic violence shelters, school systems, outpatient mental health, and child welfare settings including CPS and legal systems. A lot of my work has been with people navigating high levels of stress and trauma that don’t stay contained—they show up in daily life, relationships, and how much you’re able to manage at once. A lot of what I do centers on trauma work—helping people process experiences that still feel heavy or present, even if they’re in the past—and building ways to actually handle what comes up in day-to-day life. I also use practical, skills-based work to support things like emotional overwhelm, relationship stress, and feeling like everything is too much at once. The focus is on helping things feel different outside of session, not just making sense of them inside of it.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I care deeply about creating a space where people don’t feel like they have to hold everything together or act like they’re okay in order to be understood. I value honesty, real conversation, and relationships where people can show up as they are without being judged for it. I believe therapy works best when it feels human first—when there’s room for humor, truth, discomfort, and clarity to all exist at the same time. I also believe people are far more capable of change than they often feel in the moments they come to therapy, especially when they’ve been carrying stress, trauma, or responsibility for too long without enough support. My work is grounded in respect for people’s lived experiences, especially those who have had to navigate systems, instability, or overwhelming circumstances while still trying to keep moving forward. I’m not here to define your experiences—I’m here to work with you toward change that actually fits your life.
