About My Clients
You've been working so hard to focus, stay calm, be productive, and maintain relationships, but despite all the self-care in the world, things haven't clicked yet. You're anxious, always looking over your shoulder, or planning three steps ahead. But one thing I know is that you're not broken, and I'm here to help you learn skills, release stress, and process trauma in a real, meaningful way.
My Background and Approach
I've been a licensed therapist since 2021, and I've been working in human services fields since 2016, when I worked in substance abuse treatment facilities. Since then I've worked in nine different states via telehealth. I provide a unique mix of counseling modalities: dialectical behavior therapy for skill building, family systems for understanding our roles in relationships, and EMDR to connect the brain and body to shift our perspectives on difficult moments in our lives. I've also worked and trained in other modalities, like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and somatic/sensorimotor interventions, and will mix interventions from these types of therapy if relevant or needed. No matter what, I'm obsessed with providing therapy that works, and that respects each person's unique way of being in the world. I'd love to have you for a free consultation so we can get to know each other and talk about what transformational change in therapy means to you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a queer, nonbinary, and neurocomplex therapist, and my practice is queer-affirming and neurodiversity-affirming. I acknowledge and embrace the ways in which social and political issues influence folks' mental health, and I invite these conversations in session. Acknowledging the ways which intersectional identities interplay with mental health and the mental health system is an important part of my practice as well.
