About My Clients
My clients are often couples stuck in the same patterns, battling the same arguments, struggling to "get on the same page," and feeling disconnected even when the love is there. I also work with premarital couples who want to enter marriage feeling confident, connected, and prepared for what's ahead.
My Background and Approach
I've been trained in the dynamics of relationships and how the people in them affect one another. That systemic lens shapes everything I do in the room. My work centers on couples therapy and premarital counseling. Whether you're preparing for marriage, trying to reconnect with your partner, or working through anxiety and self-doubt on your own, I tailor my approach to what you actually need, not a one-size-fits-all method. I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and other evidence-based approaches to help you understand the cycle you're stuck in, not just the argument on the surface. That means we get to the real stuff, the unmet needs, the fears, the patterns that keep repeating, so the changes you make actually stick. My style is warm, direct, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation, not a performance. I'll challenge you when it's helpful and meet you with empathy when that's what's needed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy works because of my own experience in therapy and navigating my own mental health challenges, which shapes the way I show up for my clients. I know what it takes to ask for help, and I know how much it matters to feel truly met when you do. I'm deeply committed to breaking the stigma around mental health, the idea that struggling means weakness, or that needing support is something to be ashamed of. This goes double for men, who are so often told to push through, stay stoic, and figure it out alone. Some of the most meaningful work I do is with people who never thought therapy was "for them", and watching that shift is something I don't take lightly. I'm also a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community and stand firmly with the Black Lives Matter movement. My practice is a space where everyone is welcome, seen, and respected. I strive to show up as a culturally aware, inclusive therapist who continues to learn and do better.
