About My Clients
Sometimes in life, you come to a place where you feel like you can no longer manage stress and challenges. Maybe you’re experiencing a transition, relationship difficulties, a new role, or you just feel stuck. You have been doing your best to get through each day, but it’s just not enough. You are tired of going through life depressed, lonely, anxious, or insecure, but you don’t know what change to make or where to start. Please know that you do not have to continue feeling this way!
My Background and Approach
I have my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and my Master of Social Work, both from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. My background is in outpatient mental health, which has allowed me to work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, low self-esteem, work-life balance, relationship struggles, and more. I also have significant experience working with women navigating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, pregnancy, reproductive loss, infertility, and the transition to motherhood. Using perspectives from neuroscience and social work, I help my clients to understand how their environment, relationships, experiences, and physical and emotional well-being all impact their mental health. I use a collaborative, client-centered approach, so my interventions can be adapted based on my clients’ goals and needs. Some interventions that I use in therapy include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), & self-compassion techniques.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about making therapy approachable for everyone, and values such as authenticity, acceptance, and compassion guide my practice.
