About My Clients
You are smart. And it's not a compliment. Sometimes it's cool but most of the time it means you think too much and/or don't fit in. You are trying to navigate your way through life, relationships, or maybe just down the grocery aisle.
My Background and Approach
The therapy you get with me is a composite of elements that I am passionate about and have trained in. Family systems: you affect the people around you and they affect you, both today and when you were a child. Trauma: I am trained in EMDR and am perpetually learning about how the human body interacts with stress and danger. Somatic awareness: You hold everything in your whole body, not just your brain, let's explore together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that love is love. I believe that we all hold some biases and it is incumbent upon us to be aware of those and work on them. I believe that trauma doesn't have to be validated by an outside source.
