I offer career counseling for teens and adults, with extensive experience helping high school students explore options beyond college applications and financial aid. I support clients in understanding their strengths, motivations, and possible paths—college, trades, certifications, or alternative routes. As someone with ADHD, I understand the planning challenges that can come with big decisions, and I focus on making the process clear, manageable, and aligned with each client’s goals.

I began using ACT in school settings with students who were dealing with intense emotions, perfectionism, or a sense of being pulled in too many directions. ACT helped them build flexibility—learning how to hold difficult thoughts and feelings without being controlled by them. I bring that same approach to clients of all ages, helping them clarify their values and take action that aligns with what matters most, skills and resilience.

My CBT approach grew out of years working with students who needed clear, practical tools to understand their thoughts and behaviors in real time even in moments of crisis. I help clients notice patterns, challenge unhelpful thinking, and test new skills in ways that feel manageable and relevant to their daily lives. CBT is especially helpful when someone feels overwhelmed or unsure how to interrupt cycles of stress. My goal is to make it grounded and accessible.

I use Motivational Interviewing the way I learned to use it in schools—meeting students where they were, helping them sort through mixed feelings about change, and supporting them without pressure. That experience shaped how I use MI with clients today. Whether someone is struggling with motivation, facing a major transition, or feeling stuck between choices, MI allows us to explore ambivalence with respect and curiosity.

I support clients living with PTSD by creating a steady, grounded space where their story can be explored at a pace that feels safe and manageable, while strengthening coping strategies. My experience in therapeutic schools taught me how to help students and adults navigate trauma responses in the middle of real-life demands—while helping them reconnect with sources of safety and support, as well as the personal values that trauma may have disrupted.
