My Background and Approach
I like to focus on identifying your strengths, helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles, and empowering you to have the skills you need to leave the therapeutic relationship with confidence that you have the tools you can use independently. I'm here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now, while creating a safe place for you to be open and honest without fear of judgment. You have taken the first and most important step by looking for help. I'm sorry you are having a tough time right now, but I'm glad you found the strength to reach out. I'd like to help you work on the struggles you are facing and offer you a safe place to explore your thoughts and feelings. I use an eclectic approach that will fit you and can include motivational interviewing, CBT, Gestalt, Solution Focused Therapy. The approach needs to match you to empower you create your own change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every can make changes for themselves and ultimately knows themselves the best. Through a good therapeutic partnership in a safe and calm environment, healing and empowerment to identify the skills, anyone can become confident to walk away from therapy knowing they can use those skills independently.
