About My Clients
I support kids (8+), teens, adults, parents, and families through depression, anxiety, school stress, life transitions, trauma, and self-esteem challenges. Together, we’ll build coping skills, process experiences, set boundaries, and grow confidence. I’ll be your cheerleader, your motivator, and your eternal optimist. If you need someone to light a fire under you, I can help hold you accountable, or if you need someone to let you work at your own pace, I will let you decide when you're ready.
My Background and Approach
I think of therapy as having a conversation, not just finding a diagnosis. Together, we look at the actions, behaviors, and emotions that might be getting in the way of living the life you want. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy, and I like to bring creativity, humor, and a little bit of fun into the process when it fits. I’ve spent over 20 years working with kids, teens, and parents as both an educator and a therapist, so I get the challenges families and young people face. My goal is to help you feel supported, gain insight, and walk away with practical tools you can actually use.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I was always taught, and belief to this day, that everyone deserves the same kindness and respect that I would expect. I am a creative person, always enjoying getting my hands into something whether it be painting, crochet, coloring, building blocks with my toddler, or baking. Oh how I love baking! I think everyone has the ability to be creative, and it can be a great coping skills. I enjoy being outside, and I enjoy the rainy days just as much as the sunny ones, because they each have different things to offer. I am an advocate for social justice, women's rights, and environmental causes.
