About My Clients

Adjusting to life's changes can possibly bring about anxiety or depressive feelings. I want to help you work through these and be there for you. I know depression can literally bring you down and make you not want to do anything. Anxiety throws you a curve ball. Both of these feelings can go hand-in-hand. Learned behaviors from exposure of past circumstances can bring about behaviors that bring negative consequences. Let's talk so I can help you learn coping mechanisms to turn things around.

My Background and Approach

I love to use different tools to assist my clients in working through their circumstances. I do like using client-centered so that I can help my client think through their situation and find their own solution. I also include motivational interviewing to assist the client in motivation on where they want to be. I assist clients in recognizing triggers and working on changing mindsets so that the regrets do not come. If there are regrets, we work on self-compassion so that you can learn to forgive yourself for things you feel you may have done wrong in the past. Given these situations, social anxiety may come up; maybe due to past traumas. I like working with those who want to change their outlook on their social life and learn to trust again.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone who decides to can change the way they think, and work on positive mindsets are able to do so. Learned behavior can be a part of how we react to situations. We see how our parents reacted to different things and "it worked for them, so I will do the same". Learning positive, healthier, ways of responding is what a therapist is here for. Learning how to incorporate self-compassion into your life can help you forgive yourself for the things you feel you may have done negatively. I enjoy watching the positive changes that come with therapy. I do give Christian-based therapy sessions, if the client asks for it. I will not push my beliefs on my clients either.
