About My Clients
I specialize in working with individuals and couples in their 20s and 30s, helping navigate the challenges of this life stage, including but not limited to life transitions, relationship issues, mood disorders, self-esteem, career stress, and identity exploration.
My Background and Approach
I am a bilingual therapist, providing therapy in both Mandarin and English. I provide a warm and supportive space where you can explore, gain clarity, and grow, using evidence-based approaches like CBT, IFS, psychodynamics, and multicultural counseling to find what best resonates with you. I’m here to help you build skills, uncover insights, and see things from new perspectives tailored to your unique journey. I earned my bachelor's degree double majoring in Applied Psychology and Economics at Boston College and my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness at New York University. As a bilingual therapist, I can provide therapy in both Mandarin and English. I will meet you at your level of readiness for change and support you as you strive toward authenticity and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I began my mental health counseling journey at Samaritans, a suicide hotline in Boston. This experience became a pivotal moment in shaping my beliefs about mental health, empathy, and the power of listening. Mental health is deeply personal, shaped by individual histories, traumas, and aspirations. It is not a linear path; rather, it's full of twists and turns that require patience, self-compassion, and the courage to look within. The process of healing involves curiosity, and meeting each part of ourselves with kindness rather than judgment. Each layer, each “part” within us, has a purpose and a story to tell. Healing is not just about eliminating symptoms; it’s about learning to live in harmony with all aspects of oneself, both the light and the shadow.
