Being a woman comes with so many varying issues. Family roles, motherhood, child-free, friendships, single by choice, marriage, divorce, job-roles, aging gracefully, working parents, stay-at-home parents, caretaking our aging parents. The list of roles and responsibilities goes on and on, and it's a lot! But there are healthy ways of navigating through it all, and we can find them.

With so many changes in our world and in our society, it can be difficult to keep our head over the water at times. Anxiety affects us all; at any age and gender, and it is very real. When we are riddled with anxiety, it can be suffocating, affecting our work, family, parenting, health, sleep and social realms. But there are many strategies and solutions to help ourselves stay sane and at peace with these changes. Anxiety can be managed!

With a focus on current interpersonal relationships, IPT can help identify problem areas in life such as unresolved grief and loss, role disputes or transitions, and interpersonal struggles. In the end it's up to us to understand ourselves for exactly who we are with love and compassion. Through IPT, the aim is to relieve symptoms through understanding, communication and support.

CBT, or talk therapy helps us focus on our thoughts and actions, and is a practical approach to helping us notice and change unhelpful patterns. When we understand how thoughts affect feelings and actions, we can find better ways to cope with challenges. Negative or unhelpful thought patterns can influence and even dictate our quality of life. We can learn to turn stressful thoughts into realistic and helpful perspectives.

ACT aims to accept what we cannot control and instead focus on the things that matter most to us. Learning how to be present, accept tough emotions and choose our own actions gives us a sense of peace and control in our lives. We can work together to build skills for handling stress that are true to your values.
