My Background and Approach
Hello , my name is Anthony Velez and I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I have over 10 years of psychiatric experience working in various clinical settings at the Cleveland Clinic. I worked 8 years as a floor nurse in acute psychiatry helping those individuals with acute psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia and catatonia. However, I was able to find my passion upon graduating with my master’s degree from Ohio University. From here, I developed an enthusiasm in treating mood disorders and those with PTSD. Having worked in the inpatient setting, as part of an intensive outpatient program, and in the outpatient setting, I aim to bring my experience and expertise to your care.
