About My Clients
You're a hard worker, and you have high expectations for yourself. From the outside, it looks like you have everything together, and others see no need for concern. Yet, despite your successes, you’re still plagued by self doubt. You’re highly critical of yourself, and you have trouble staying present. You’re terrified of making a mistake, being criticized, or failing. You're saying: I don't want to live like this anymore, and you're ready to move beyond perfectionism, anxiety, and burnout.
My Background and Approach
I believe that there is nothing wrong with you. While clinical labels can sometimes be helpful, they often shift shame and blame onto the individual. In reality, it is our experiences and the environment we grow up in that shape how we feel and respond to the world. I believe your symptoms (thoughts, feelings, and behaviors) are purposeful, and that you do everything you do for a good reason. When we work together, we will work to identify the filters through which you view yourself and the world around you, understand and appreciate why they developed, and move toward seeing things clearly for what they are. By understanding what’s beneath the surface, you can begin to relate to your emotions in a different way, and start to make conscious choices aligned with your values. I will act as a guide, but I believe you already have everything you need to heal and experience life fully. My approach is relational (psychodynamic) and somatically focused.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I am deeply committed to creating an affirming space that celebrates diversity and promotes healing. I value social justice, support the queer community, and embrace a sex and kink-positive approach. Grounded in feminist principles, my practice aims to empower clients and honor their unique journeys.
