About My Clients
Have you ever felt that life can get lonely when it's so overwhelming? This is a common sentiment, and let's explore it together! My name is Annie Morris, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in working with adults facing a variety of life experiences including anxiety, depression, caring for aging parents, parenting, grief, marital/relational tension, and life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in a variety of settings with survivors of domestic violence, non-documented immigrants, parents, and others. The past four years of my career have been in outpatient therapy with individuals experiencing a variety of mental health concerns. I utilize a mixture of CBT, narrative therapy, somatic work, and emotions-based therapy. In your first few sessions, we will process what life looks like for you now and what you hope to work on. Life is a beautiful, brutal mess sometimes. My hope is that in working together, we can help you to feel less alone and more connected to your life and those you love. Feel free to reach out to me with questions about if you could be a good fit for my practice. I look forward to meeting you and starting this journey together!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity for change and that we need connection to be able to safely explore the anxieties and stressors of our lives. I strive to provide a safe and nonjudgmental environment where you can learn about yourself, process the past, and explore who you want to be for your future. I am passionate about the importance of relationships, ways that you can foster positive relationships with the people you love, and work towards your individual goals.
