About My Clients
Are you a young adult or adolescent trying to figure out who you are and/or who you want to be? Do life’s challenges seem to be getting in the way of reaching your full potential? If you are experiencing discomfort or confusion as you navigate "adulting", or you are struggling with self-esteem, body image, anxiety, or depression, I am here to help! I am proudly fat positive and Health At Every Size (HAES) aligned. I love working with queer, trans, and BIPOC clients!
My Background and Approach
I am a relational and strengths based therapist. I want to know about YOU and what makes you amazing! I love working with clients to build on what they're already doing while also holding space for exploring difficult and heavy emotions. I take a weight neutral approach to body image work, and believe that healing from our cultural obsession with dieting and thinness can set us on a path to real freedom and liberation. I incorporate Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness practices in my work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a queer, fat therapist and am proud and comfortable in those identities! I believe that we all have the capacity to live authentically and challenge the societal systems that hold us back.
