About My Clients
I often support my clients with navigating; developmental & systemic trauma, self-esteem/self-worth, limiting beliefs, grief, interpersonal struggles, relational disconnect, identity exploration, coping strategies, communication struggles, suicidal ideation, family system dynamics, nervous system dysregulation, attachment schemas, and shame. I accompany clients on their path to maneuver life’s challenges, process losses & trauma, or examine the internal landscape that shapes who they are.
My Background and Approach
I see therapy as a shared garden, where my client and I gently tend to the landscape of their life. Together, we nurture existing strengths, plant seeds for growth, uncover new tools for healing, and cultivate a deeper connection to one’s self and others. Along the way, we create space and compassion for the parts that live in the shadows and honor the courage it takes to interrupt patterns that no longer serve their well-being. Our wounds don't define who we are, but they do have a story to tell. I offer a trauma-informed approach to narrative therapy; incorporating multicultural perspectives, harm reduction framework, attachment theory, polyvagal practices, and IFS-informed parts work into my therapeutic process. I believe the path towards growth & healing is unique to each individual and not a linear process; I integrate a harm reduction framework into therapy with the intent of instilling self-compassion and minimizing shame in the work I do with clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Our worlds are composed of numerous unique and complex interpersonal ecosystems shaped by the intricate interplay of relationships, cultural influences, personal histories, and unspoken emotional dynamics that evolve over time. I offer a holistic approach to therapy by practicing through a systemic lens; delving into individual's colorful and intricate relational tapestries, while also considering the impact of societal systems. I practice therapy through a lens of liberation, anti-oppression, and decolonization; prioritizing the cultivation of a de-pathologizing space for individuals to explore their relationship to themself, their communities, and the world around them. I prioritize meeting my clients wherever they may be in their journey of growth; working to collaboratively create a therapeutic container that is generative, sustainable, and unique to each individual.
