About My Clients
Coping with acute, chronic, or serious illness ourselves or being a caregiver to someone with an illness is one of life’s most difficult challenges. Illness forever affects how we view ourselves, our relationships, and how our lives were “supposed” to go. Our experience of illness is also impacted by everything else we have been through in our lives. You aren't alone- specialized therapeutic support can help you figure out who you are now and find meaning and purpose.
My Background and Approach
By working collaboratively together, we can explore topics like uncertainty, loss, identity, meaning-making, and mortality. I am nationally board certified in palliative care and have over a decade of experience working with people experiencing many different types of illnesses (such as cancer, stroke, ALS, Parkinsons, dementia, MS, MD, auto-immune diseases, heart, lung, or kidney disease) as well as with those close to them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a parent and the spouse of someone with a chronic serious illness. Life is messy and I am here for the journey.
