If you are worried or concerned about your child, you are not alone. The last two years have been difficult for many families, and many children are struggling right now with their mental health. Early intervention is key in helping children progress developmentally and learn new ways of coping. I help anxious children and teens who struggle with their emotions and behaviors to find healthy ways to communicate with family members and to address their needs in developmentally sensitive ways.
My Background and Approach
I have 9 years of post-graduate experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to children, teens, and adults. I have worked in community mental health and have been in private practice since 2019. I offer evidence-based therapy to children, teens, and adults who are experiencing anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. While many therapists work with anxiety disorders and trauma, I have additional, specialized training in research-based techniques that help you to recover faster and reclaim a life worth living. Unfortunately, many people are receiving therapy for anxiety and trauma but not getting better. You may feel like your therapist is just listening, or that you talk about the same things every week without anything changing. I believe in a more active treatment approach that requires effort on your part, but helps you to feel better sooner.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am open to working with families of all shapes and sizes including single parents, foster and adoptive parents, blended families, queer families, and other configurations, traditional or otherwise.
