About My Clients
Have you been diagnosed with everything under the sun and have not been able to make long-lasting progress in therapy? Do you also have problems with memory, spacing out in the middle of conversations, feeling outside your body at times, or like the world around you isn't real? If you have experienced these or you've been diagnosed with a dissociative disorder or Complex-Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, I may be able to help you.
My Background and Approach
I've been working with individuals with dissociative disorders since 2014 when I graduated. I use a psychodynamic approach with my client, focusing on how behaviors and symptoms of today relate back to early childhood experiences. I also use an attachment-theory focus in my work, exploring how early relationships shaped my clients and how the relationship between me and my client can be used to heal them. I also focus heavily on exploring the client's subjective (inner) experience of dissociative experiences and use ego-state therapy for those of my clients who have Dissociative Identity Disorder. I use the Three Phase Model for treating DID (Stabilization, Trauma Processing, Integration), to improve cooperation with all parts of one's mind. I also use clinical hypnosis for anxiety management, trauma processing, and accessing dissociative parts of self.
