My Background and Approach
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Foundationally Trained by The Linehan Institute/Behavioral Tech. (12/8/14-12/12/14). DBT adapts CBT to assist patients to deal with stress. This approach combines acceptance and change through the principle of dialectics. I have found my training invaluable in assisting clients to achieve personal harmony. Utilizing DBT informed treatment and the core skill of Mindfulness I enable clients to gain self awareness and the ability to be present in their life rather than mentally and emotionally hijacked.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a practitioner of Mindfulness I find the practice invaluable in achieving inner peace and a harmonious life. I'm not a Buddhist by religion, but find the study of Buddhism enriches my way of life through self-control, impartiality, cheerfulness, truthfulness, and being helpful and giving to others.
