About My Clients
When people who are new to therapy ask me what it’s like, I say that while it’s not always comfortable, it is often an incredibly rich and powerful experience—even after only one session. You will move toward a more grounded place, strengthen your coping skills and hopefully learn to give yourself more compassion. Therapy can serve as an anchor as you move through the stickiness that life can bring. We often underestimate how much relief we can experience simply having the space to feel heard.
My Background and Approach
My background includes a first career in the financial and corporate world before I shifted gears to become a therapist. A key part of my work includes helping folks with workplace dynamics, difficult thought patterns and strengthening interpersonal skills. I also have extensive experience working with First Responders (in government and hospital settings) and Employee Assistance Programs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When people say, "people don't change", I respond with "when they want to and are ready". I'm a firm believer that if you give yourself the time and space, you can move through the challenges you are dealing with - to a new place. It's not overnight, but we can begin and see how it sits with you. Please note: I am licensed in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
