About My Clients
I specialize in working with clients who are navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and LGBTQ+ identity exploration. I work with clients interested in the stories they carry, the patterns they've inherited or created to survive, and how they can begin to relate to themselves with more compassion, honesty, and freedom. Therapy might include image, metaphor, dreamwork, expressive writing, and the therapeutic relationship itself as pathways for healing and self-discovery.
My Background and Approach
I have a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and have worked in community-based clinic settings, college counseling centers, and now private practice. My experience has ranged from practical, short term solution-focused therapy to longer-term depth-oriented therapy, teaching me that the daily change practices in which clients engage are just as essential as the hard won insights that come from deep emotional work. My style is warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens through authentic human connection. I use a blend of approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Depth Psychology, and Interpersonal Neurobiology. I offer queer-affirming and gender-affirming care, and engage with clients using a social justice framework in an effort to create an affirming, culturally responsive space.
