Clients come to me looking for a therapist who understands the damage done by diet talk. I'm a weight inclusive therapist who believes therapy should be a place where you feel safe and supported on your healing journey. Sessions with me are always adapted to what you need. Together, we will work towards self-love and emotional self-regulation. And we always go at your pace, never pushing to a place you don’t feel ready to be.
My Background and Approach
My training in disordered eating and emotional regulation means I have the expertise you need and deserve when healing your relationship with food and your body. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” it. I get it because I have lived it myself. I know that binge eating and depression often feed off each other. I know the devastating role of people-pleasing and perfectionism. I know how discouraging it is to navigate a society with so many mixed messages about health and beauty. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through. Im trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). My approach combines trauma-focused techniques, CBT, mindfulness, emotion integration and a touch of narrative and existential theories.

Many of today’s solutions for disordered eating are still stained with diet talk and fat phobia, leading so many to feel misunderstood and judged. I know that your body, mind and circumstances are unique, so every step is tailored to your needs. Don’t like to journal? No problem! Want some homework? Sure!
