About My Clients
Are you curious as to how you came to be so anxious, depressed or fill in the blank? Are you ready to explore the parts of you that you've been fearful of or reclaim the parts of you that once were joyful and curious about life? Healing is a journey of small steps and big leaps. I act only as a guide to your own self-discovery. Underneath the pain and confusion there exists a Self waiting to be reacquainted!
My Background and Approach
My own journey to being reacquainted with my lost Self took many years. As a therapist I was determined to share with my clients the same modalities that brought me inner peace. I trained in EMDR, DBT, and other therapies, took my Buddhist vow of refuge, along with becoming a certified yoga instructor and Master Reiki practitioner. But, it is through much striving that I finally came upon Internal Family Systems. IFS allows me to be a guide as you become curious on how to self-heal, emotionally, mentally, somatically and spiritually. Using IFS, we work together as you become introduced to all the various parts that make you uniquely you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As well as being passionate about people's relationships with themselves, I am also passionate about people's relationships with nature. After my Ecotherapy training and through studying the Chakra energy centers, I began to realize that our society is walking around partially numb and untethered to the very Earth that supports us, Gaia. Being untethered, without rootedness, we loose a sense of our greater self and our belonging to a community. This past Fall I began the Wild Church of Milwaukee. A once a month evolving gathering of people whose spiritual journey honors our reciprocal relationship with nature and one another.
