About My Clients
Are you caring for an aging loved one or navigating your own later-life changes? I support older adults and caregivers facing stress, chronic illness, cognitive changes, and life transitions. You don’t have to do this alone—together we’ll create a path forward that honors your experience and builds resilience.
My Background and Approach
With 20+ years of experience in geriatric care, I blend personal insight and clinical expertise to support older adults and caregivers. I use CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed approaches tailored to your needs—helping you cope, adapt, and thrive through every stage. Our first couple of sessions are mostly about getting to know each other. After that, we'll set some goals and make a plan, but each session starts with you and what's on your mind. Clients tell me I'm a good listener, that I help them make sense of their thoughts and feelings, and that they simply appreciate having someone to share things with.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
While I'm a softy for a lot of social issues, I tend to spend her spare time on - Environmental Justice: You'll often find me pulling out invasive plants, advocating for native plants, and leading elementary school kids in their school vegetables garden. Simply teaching students the names of plants increases respect for and connection to our environment. - Immigrant and Refugee Issues - I have significant volunteer experience with refugee resettlement especially with the Karen and Burmese communities. - Public School Funding & Access to Healthcare - When public schools are fully funded and citizens are able to access all types of healthcare, our society will more equal and just.
