About My Clients
I help people align their lives with their hearts when oppressive forces tell them to stay put. Trust is central to our work, since your relationship with me will be one of the most critical factors in your healing. I will meet you with an open heart, and a lot of realness.Together, we can shift your relationships with the problems in your life and reclaim your connection to yourself and what is most precious to you.
My Background and Approach
My work has its strongest roots in Narrative Therapy, an approach grounded in the belief that people are separate from their problems and that we have the power to reauthor our own stories. I also draw from feminist and queer theory, restorative justice practices, and other resistance movements. Your Knowledge and Values are Worthy of Respect: Your way of understanding the world is critical to your healing. I will reflect back your words, ideas, and values in your voice. I will take notes while you speak, and these are yours to read at your request. I am an active participant in the work we do together. My role is decentered but influential: I am committed to centering your ideas, preferences, values, and ways of understanding the world. I emphasize consent in my work, and will ask your permission to share my own ideas, resources, or examples. I will respect your story, and to bring attention to your preferred words, ideas, theories and practices.

I love the stunning spectrum of human experience in all its forms. I love our enormous hearts, our ability to forgive and our righteous anger. I love our endless capacity for resilience and change, and our tenacious grip on what is most precious to us.
