About My Clients
What brought you here today? Maybe it's the impact of trauma on your ability to live your life fully. Maybe it's a desire to feel less pain and more empowerment and joy. Maybe you want to overcome challenges in your current relationship; building trust and a deeper sense of connection. Or perhaps it's a desire to explore or navigate a non-traditional relationship or lifestyle that feels authentic and nourishing. Whatever it is, I would be honored to be a part of your journey and growth.
My Background and Approach
I have a PhD in neuroscience and psychology which gives me a deep understanding of how our brains work. I specialize in working with people affected by long-term stress, abuse, trauma and grief; as these experiences leave a deep impact on our brain and our lives. I provide a safe, non-judgmental place to work with your memories, feelings and thoughts in new ways. Together we will work to create new experiences that change the patterns of your brain and of your life. I have over 20 years of experience working with adults in individual therapy, couples and relationship therapy, family therapy and group therapy. I am kink-friendly, and enjoy working with people in alternative lifestyles and relationships. Therapy isn't a one size fits all, and it's important to me to find the approaches that work for each client that I see. I am a Trauma Focused therapist, trained in Attachment theory, Internal Family Therapy (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioral therapy, with many other tools as needed.
