About My Clients
I enjoy working with youth, adults, and folks in relationships navigating various life stressors. My special interests include processing life transitions, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, emotional disengagement, and sexual concerns. I strive to affirm and celebrate diverse identities and relationship structures in my work. While I don't always have openings for ongoing clients, I always have space in my schedule to meet with folks pursuing gender-affirming surgery.
My Background and Approach
I have a casual, direct approach in therapy, drawing from a client-centered, collaborative, and systemic framework. This means I focus on individual experience while keeping in mind all the intersections and impacts of identity, community, and society as a whole. My goal as a therapist is to create a space to empower you to fully be yourself, to invite critique of systems or "rules" you have been taught that are not working for you, and to help you make your own meaning out of life. I work from strength-based, trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and anti-oppressive lenses.
